The characters in our work shun individuality; their spirit is that of synthesis and unification in such a way that they become hybrid fusions of men and animals. These kinds of being abound in many so-called 'primitive' cultures, where they inhabit a symbolic plane between a magical place and reality.
An original artwork by emerging Spanish artist Marina Anaya. She created a beguiling series of hyper-romantic paintings and prints rendered in a unique naive style. Her colorful and whimsical pieces are seemingly simply rendered, but a complex layering process gives the works an intriguing iridescent quality.
